Since 1992, CSRO Cotton Research Unit has conducted large scale insect management trials in the upper and lower Namoi Valley.

The computer based decision support system, entomoLOGIC was first developed five years ago as a basic prototype. The first release of the DOS version for commercial use was at the Cotton Conference in 1992.

Objectives To continue the development and validation of a series of micro-computer based decision support packages (initially hydroLOGIC and entomoLOGIC) under the generic name CottonLOGIC.,
