This report is the final report of the initial National Land and Water Resources Audit. It summarises the principal findings and describes some of the substantial uses already made of the Audit's information. Recognising the government's commitment to continue the Audit, suggestions are made for its future role.

Australian Catchment, River and Estuary Assessment 2002 presents the key findings for the Audit's Ecosystem Health theme by: *reporting on the condition of catchments, rivers and estuaries within Australia's more intensively used river basins * presenting assessment methods based on an understanding of the key biophysical processes affecting catchment, river and estuary condition *serving as an input towards improved assessment and management. Australian Catchment, River and Estuary Assessment 2002 was prepared in partnership with State, Territory and Commonwealth agencies; the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation; the Cooperative Research Centre for Coastal Zone, Estuary and Waterway Management; the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology; Geoscience Australia; CSIRO Land and Water; and CSIRO Marine.

Australian Agriculture Assessment 2001 reports on landscape processes, soil, nutrient and water movement and serves as a key input towards improved land and water resources management.

This report concentrates on specifying guidelines for assessing, monitoring and reporting on Australia's rangelands. The report summarises the information on Australia's rangelands available in the Australian Natural Resources Atlas and details the benefits and components of the proposed rangeland monitoring initiative. Australian Collaborative Rangeland Information System: providing an information base to assist public and private decisions on sustainable land use management in Australia's rangelands.

This publication has been created out of the main project synthesising saltland knowledge - the Saltland Genie website. The Saltland Genie website brought together the latest findings and conclusions about saltland management to provide the most reliable recommendations that are available. The website is the 'supermarket' for anyone shopping for saltland knowledge. It has been designed specifically to take advantage of the power of web delivery, with everything the 'shopper' might need, including a 'shop assistant' - the Genie - to direct you down the right 'aisle' and link you up the most appropriate information.

The Australian Native Vegetation Assessment 2001 details Australia-wide activities undertaken to implement a national vegetation data management and information provision system. Using the data compiled in this system, this report assesses the status of Australia's native vegetation and makes suggestions for continued development of the information system and its application in supporting natural resource management decisions.
